Client Context
OSSO Gas required a secure digital platform to modernise and centralise important operational processes. The organisation needed to move away from fragmented or manual workflows and create a web-based portal that could support staff activity across quotes, contracts, meters, billing and related operational tasks.
Vesper Software Limited was engaged to design, develop, launch and continue supporting the OSSO Gas platform, a secure business-critical digital service.

Discovery and technical planning
Vesper began by understanding OSSO Gas’s operational processes and translating those into a practical platform architecture. The team worked collaboratively with the client to define the core modules, user roles, workflows and technical requirements. This discovery and planning stage was essential because the platform needed to support real operational tasks, not just provide a visual interface. The work required Vesper to understand how different users would interact with the system, what data and workflows needed to be centralised, and how the platform should be structured to support future growth.
Delivery approach
The delivery approach was agile and structured. Work was organised around clear modules and priorities, allowing the platform to be developed iteratively while keeping stakeholders involved throughout. Collaboration tools such as Jira, Slack and Figma were used to manage tasks, communication and design review, giving the client visibility over progress and decisions. Technical implementation
The OSSO Gas platform was built as a secure, cloud-hosted web platform. Vesper implemented an AWS-based architecture using modern infrastructure and deployment practices.

The platform was built with segregated environments for development, testing, staging and production. This allowed changes to be developed and tested safely before production release, reducing operational risk and supporting a controlled rollout process.
Security and reliability
Security and reliability were central to the project. Vesper implemented role-based access, secure infrastructure, encrypted communications, logging, monitoring and controlled deployment processes. The role-based access model ensured that users had appropriate access to the parts of the platform relevant to their role. Secure cloud infrastructure and encrypted communication helped protect the platform and its data. Monitoring and logging supported operational visibility and issue diagnosis.
Responsive interface and user experience
The platform included responsive web interface development so that staff users could access and operate the system effectively. The user experience needed to support practical operational workflows across quotes, contracts, billing and meters. This required clear screens, logical workflows, appropriate user permissions and a structure that helped staff complete tasks more consistently. Although the OSSO Gas project was not commissioned as a public-sector WCAG audit, it required Vesper to think carefully about usability, clarity, workflow design and responsive access.
